I have a couple pairs of the
original Crocs, which fit great as long as I wear an orthotic
or insole. The Troika fit a little smaller and the main thing
I don't like is that they slope just a little bit downwards
towards the toe, which makes my foot gravitate to that end.
I'm looking for the right insole to work with these. I love
the looks. I got the Troika in Chocolate/Chocolate: the suede
is a nice touch, making the appearance "dressier" than other
Crocs. The overall design is visually appealing. They do look
great with jeans. The Troika is narrower than the Crocs uni-size
because it is a woman's shoe. Also, the upper felt stiff due
to the addition of the suede, and it was uncomfortable. I
assume the leather suede would have broken in and softened
with wear. I wish they'd worked for me. I currently own 3
style crocs for various needs. I started with the Mary Janes
which I wore everywhere. I volunteer at my childs school where
they have a lot of tan back, dirt and grass. I found that
although the Mary Janes are well ventilated, I got a lot of
dirt and wood slivers in my shoe. These Troika work great
since there is much more coverage and I can wear them in the
rain. I still get all the attributes of why people like Crocs,
but more coverage. The only disadvantage is much ventilation
so your feet do get warmer and there is more moisture on the
days you wear socks. I would still recommend them. To me the
cut of this shoe feels a little more narrow than the Mary
Janes, but maybe the contour is just a little different or
something. |
