I really like that the Troika
looks more like a regular shoe with its design. It can be worn
with more styles than the much more casual Crocs. It is also
waterproof, with a sturdy sole, so it makes an excellent
winter shoe on ice and snow. You simply cannot slip on ice
while wearing them. With the closed toe, it keeps your foot
warm in our very cold Alaskan temperatures. It is too warm for
summer wear, so then I wear my other Sofft. I LOVE the looks
of this shoe, but it was not quite as comfortable as my other
Soffts. The top was binding and hurts the top of my foot. I
actually put them in the dryer to soften the plastic, which
did help them to conform to my foot better, but they still are
not an all-day shoe like the other 4 styles that I own. Too
bad, because I would like to order other colors of the Troika
to wear to work. I
have been living in Crocs. I have had plantar fasciitis in
both feet, posterior tibial tendonitis, a bone spur on my big
toe joint, a numb 2nd toe and a stress fracture in my fifth
metatarsal. My feet were/are a mess. I have orthotics, which
only seem to aggravate the situation. I tried Crocs because my
beleaguered podiatrist said he likes them. The Troika model
fits great, looks nice, and is very comfortable. It does put a
bit of pressure on the instep (top of the foot) as others have
said, but I do not find that at all troublesome except in
maybe walking down stairs. I think this might stretch out a
bit with wear. This feature does help to keep them on
securely. I would not give them up and have ordered them in
two colors. |
